A Buddhist Catechism cover This book is a short, but very well written introduction to Buddhism.

I’m not a very religious kind of person: I grew up in a Catholic community and went for three years to a Catholic school, but still I’m not very religious. Actually, going to that Catholic school, may have caused me to go away from religion, but this is another topic that would deserve a post for itself.
Anyway, I’ve always been interested in religions, in every religion. I think they’re very fascinating under many aspects. And I wanted a book to start learning the basic principles of Buddhism: this was the perfect choice.

What the book really do well, IMHO, is explaining to a Western audience concepts that don’t belong to the Western way of life, thus enabling everybody to have a clear understanding of what this wonderful doctrine is about.

I think almost everybody might find this book interesting, because even if it’s about a very complex topic, it’s so pleasurable to read and easy to understand.
