Michele’s Freeminding

Today, was release date in Europe for Coldplay’s new album X&Y — once in a while we got something before you Americans ;) — and given I’ve been leeching Coldplay for a long time, I immediately bought it!

Do you want to know what I think about it? I dig it!

While the first two albums where pretty similar — but still very good — X&Y definitely sets apart: it’s a much more mature work.
If you’re a Coldplay fan, you sure won’t be disappointed: it sounds like your usual Coldplay but with some experimentation — you can hear some Kraftwerk influences.

The sound is very good: a bit rougher than usual and very intriguing. It has also more electronic in it, and even though I usually don’t like electronic bits, I have to admit it fits nicely!

At the moment it might be too early to say it, but overall I’m extremely satisfied with it!
If you like Coldplay, you won’t regret buying it!
