I "hate" taking the bus when it's raining, but that's just a thing I don't like, or a particular situation I can't stand. To ask some to exclude it from their vocabularies is a little unfair, but I think your post is more concerned with eradicating its use among people with limited comprehension of the true feeling the word comunicates.
