Michele’s Freeminding

I’ve been working on a new design for the last week, putting almost all of my free time in it.
And now, I can say it is coming…very soon!

At the beginning, I came up with a total of three designs, but soon discarded two and have been going on with one: Monk.
Today was spent importing the design to Wordpress’s theme system and correcting bugs.
And talking about bugs, I want to say it’s almost impossible to make a website work perfect in IE: I mean, sometimes it seems like it’s doing its best to break your design.
Anyway, now it should look perfect - almost perfect in IE.

It is not a major breakthrough in blog designing, but I think it is a major breakthrough in my way of designing websites.
For the first time, I’ve really managed to take the time to try to modify the design in every single detail until finding the best way to do something.
I’m very satisfied with it, because I’ve worked hard on it and it helped me grow under various aspects of web designing.

I still have to modify the template to work with the Books blog and then I should be ready to release it.
If everything works fine, it’ll be out late tomorrow.
