I don’t know why, but I feel like I have to say something about George. Not Clooney! I mean George W.

On one hand, you - Americans - may think I’m not a person who can say something about the States and their politics. Maybe because I’m Italian and I can’t know everything about the inner workings of the USA. Or maybe for another reason. Or you might even think I can’t say anything about the USA.

On the other hand, I think I have the right to say something about what’s going on in the States. Everyone has the right to do it. Not just because we are free to say everything we want.
Because every choice made by Bush&Co. has an effect on the whole world: after 9/11 this is even clearer!

What I want to say is that we — you! — have to trash Bush. And the good news is that we — you! — can send Bush back to Texas. You have to open your eyes — c’mon you really believed him about WMD? — and stand clear against Bush.
I don’t really like Kerry — I prefer Nader… — but I hate Bush. Kerry is the only way to defeat Bush, so, even if you don’t like him that much, you have to vote for him. Bytheway, Kerry is not that bad. Actually I think he could be the right man: he has to be just a little bit more convincing.

I know registration deadlines are closer, so, if you haven’t done it, yet, register to vote. And then, on Election Day, I ask you, please, for the sake of humanity, to vote for Kerry. If I were a US citizen I would vote for him, but I can’t…that’s why I’m begging you.

You can think I’ve been a little irriverent, but this is a very important issue for me. And for a lot of other people around the World who can’t do anything more than something like what I’ve just done. I think I’ll write more about this.

This is an interesting reading. I read it while I was on the train this morning…
